The advancements bolster the nonprofit’s ability to serve clients following organizational growth and evolving needs.
New Bethany, a local nonprofit that provides nutritious food access, housing, and social services, announced the promotions of five team members, including Bill Lohr to operations director, Crystal Williams to development director, Jenna Sentz to development manager, Johanna Castillo to residential services coordinator, and Brenda Ramos to human resources and accounts payable.
“These well-deserved advancements within our team reflect the dedication, talent, and passion that these five individuals bring to New Bethany every day,” said New Bethany’s Executive Director, J. Marc Rittle. “Bill, Crystal, Jenna, Johanna and Brenda play a vital role in strengthening our programs and expanding our impact, and I’m thrilled to see them excel in their new roles.”
Lohr was elevated from facilities director, where he led a team that played a pivotal role in efficiently managing and maintaining 10 facilities throughout New Bethany. In his new role, Lohr will oversee all operations at New Bethany including technology, software agreements, and future property management contracts.
Williams and Sentz are both part of New Bethany’s development team. Williams was promoted from her previous position as a development officer, where she assisted the nonprofit with managing donor engagement activities. In her new role, she will manage corporate and individual donor giving and serve as a community liaison to achieve goals aligned with New Bethany’s mission.
Sentz, who previously worked as a department coordinator, will assist the executive director with responsibilities related to giving and pledging. Additionally, she will handle volunteer intake, the donor database and event communications.
Before her promotion, Castillo served as a residential advisor for New Bethany’s Transitional Housing Program. In her new role, she will continue to work to transition families to stability, as well as assist New Bethany’s Residential Services Director, Guadalupe “Lupita” Bonilla with administrative duties.
Ramos previously served as a representative payee assistant at New Bethany. In her role as human resources and accounts payable, which is a new position at New Bethany, Ramos will continue doing finance-related work and manage any human resources-related inquiries, including questions regarding insurance coverage and other tactical matters. Ramos reports directly to New Bethany’s Controller, Lisa Myers. This promotion comes at the heels of New Bethany’s former Finance Director Tina Sargent’s retirement.
