Housing Assistance

To express interest in our housing and financial assistance programs, use the following forms:

New Bethany’s permanent housing, or Single Room Occupancy facilities in Bethlehem, Allentown, or Coplay. (or call Lori at 610-691-5602 ext. 204)

New Bethany’s rental assistance program, for currently housed (rent arrears) or homeless households (security deposit and housing locator help)

New Bethany’s Representative Payee Program, for persons currently receiving Social Security payments. We will handle your payment of rent and/or all other expenses as well as assists with budgeting and saving for future needs.

Choice Food Pantry

Open hours are 10:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday

Location: 380 Shawnee Street

Directions: Shawnee is one way; enter by turning into the CVS parking lot from Broadway, turn left onto Shawnee (the alley behind CVS). In one block Shawnee bends to the left, park here, on the right. Signs will say “Cathedral parking.” You will not be towed. Staff will be at the food pantry (blue building) to help you unload.

Choice-Based Food Pantry is located in a two-story garage facility down the street from the Mollard Hospitality Center. In 2019 5,953 people were nourished. This number includes 4,071 adults; 1,245 children and 637 seniors. Our goal is to provide our clients with healthy fresh food options such a fresh vegetables and fruits. The space for our pantry has quadrupled our storage capacity allowing for more fresh food options.

Mollard Hospitality Center

Our Mollard Hospitality Center houses our day programming. The Center, located on the corner of 4th and Wyandotte Streets in Southside Bethlehem, is open Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:00pm, with extended hours in extreme weather. It offers a meal center, hygiene center and wellness center.

If you are homeless and in need of Shelter, please dial (211). This will take you to United Way’s community help-line. If you are calling from out-of-state, please call this toll free number (855) 501-6785.

2-1-1 Coordinated Entry is a community’s housing crisis response system for people who are experiencing or at-risk for homelessness. It is an effective process for helping people find the housing and services they need to end their housing crisis as quickly and successfully as possible.

By using a standardized assessment tool and referral process, families and individuals are prioritized for appropriate housing and services based on vulnerability and servility of need.

Third Street Alliance for Women & Children is one of the walk-in centers for the Coordinated Entry system within the Lehigh Valley.
