New Bethany proudly provides Case-Managed Care to those who need it. We offer rental and general assistance to homeless or soon-to-be homeless individuals and families. Additionally, we provide support services – job search and training, referrals for counseling, life skills, housing search, and support applying for mainstream benefits.
Meet Maria – a South Bethlehem resident who was able to secure stable housing with a little help from New Bethany.
Prior to her involvement with New Bethany, Maria was homeless, receiving social security benefits but struggling to secure housing, particularly the one-time lump sum payment of a security deposit. Maria began to eat regularly at New Bethany’s Mollard Hospitality Center and in a short time, New Bethany provided three important services to Maria:
- A continued resource to nutritious food
- A connection to a reputable landlord with available housing
- Rental assistance to cover her first and last month’s rent
Today, Maria is stably housed, happy and still regularly returns to New Bethany for a meal and to socialize with her friends.
