New Bethan
y’s Residential Services programming provides more than a safe place to live. It offers guidance, support and resources that empower residents to achieve lasting independence. Through personalized case management, life skills coaching, and community connections, participants gain the tools they need to build stable, self-sufficient lives.
So far in 2025, 26 households have successfully graduated from New Bethany’s residential services programming, moving into stable housing and taking the next step toward a brighter future. Each graduate represents resilience, determination and the transformative impact of supportive housing.
One success story is of New Bethany’s longest-term resident, Joe, who recently transitioned from our Bethlehem residence to more stable housing. Joe has been actively involved with our organization for 13 years and was kind enough to share his personal journey during Souper Day in 2018.
This year, with the help of New Bethany’s team, Joe secured a Section 8 voucher and VA support to move into his own apartment. After more than a decade, Joe is living independently, carrying with him the tools and confidence to thrive. It’s stories like Joe’s that inspire and motivate us to continue doing meaningful work in the Lehigh Valley. Congratulations on this next step, Joe!
