What is Luminaria Night
On a single evening at dusk over 4,000 homes in Bethlehem and beyond will light luminaries long neighborhood streets and sidewalks. We do this to remember those in need throughout the holiday season. Luminaria Night accompanies other December holidays that all depict the imagery of light in different ways: Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice, and Christmas.
How to buy Luminaria Kits?
Each $10 Luminaria kit consists of ten white paper bags, ten votive candles, and ten cups of sand. If you saved sand from last year, please purchase a kit without sand. 100% of kit purchases benefit New Bethany.

- Starting November 11, Monday – Thursday, 4 – 6 pm
- November 16, 4 – 7 pm (Promenade Tree Lighting)
- December 7, 12 – 2 pm
- December 14, 10 am – 2 pm

Volunteer
Volunteers will help assemble luminaria kits of candles, paper bags, and sand. New this year, volunteers will provide gift-wrapping services to shoppers. This is a great opportunity for work, social, school students and community groups to volunteer.
Assembly will be held from November 4 through December 13 at Suite 819 (across from LL Bean, next to LensCrafters) in the Promenade.
We have volunteer opportunities most Mondays – Thursdays from 4 – 6 pm.
