Our Transitional Housing Program is one of the few family-based facilities in the region, accepting parents of any sex or gender and guardians, and multi-parent households. Residents receive immediate transitional needs, with a goal to find permanent housing. Families are referred to the program via Northamton & Lehigh Counties Children & Youth. Clients enrolled in the program live in our Transitional Housing Facility and work with a Case Manager on action steps to move towards stability and self-sufficiency. Families are reviewed after three months in the program and can earn an additional three-month stay while continuing to build on their action plan.
Over the course of 2022, 25 families participated in our Transitional Housing Program. These families included 28 adults and 73 children. In total, we provided 12,030 shelter nights to families working towards self-sufficiency.
